Design Engineer
Island Lake, IL
|
Designs oilfield equipment by performing the following duties:
- Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposals
- Prepares detailed product drawings and schematics, modifies as required
- Performs supporting calculations to ensure design viability
- Works with internal staff and external parties to clarify or resolve problems to support design development
- Coordinates manufacturing of prototypes
- Develops experimental test programs
- Analyzes test data results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
- Assists in directing the activities of CAD Drafters
- Oilfield experience or equivalent is highly desired. Metallurgy experience is highly desired. Familiarity with API 6A, Heavy-Metal Casting and/or Forging, Pressure Vessel (Boiler) Design and/or large Valve Design.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Cosmos, MathCAD, & Algor is highly desired.
- U.S. Citizen, No Sponsorship.
