Kemper Pressure Relief Valves provide safe, over-pressure protection for reciprocating pumps, treating lines, pressure vessels, and other equipment operating under high pressure. These valves make use of the systems own hydraulic force to open at the preset pressure, and will stay open while fluid flow is gradually diverted out the discharge port until the system pressure drops below the preset limit. When the predetermined and adjustable blowdown pressure is reached, the valve will automatically and smoothly close. Exclusive Kemper discharge flow recirculation design assures minimal hydraulic shock to the pumping device or treating iron during valve closure. Kemper Relief Valves are available in 2" and 3" models with operation pressure ranges from 150 to 20,000 psi for standard or sour service.
